Golden Sun Resort - Adults Only Kalamaki , Kalamaki (Zakynthos)

My stay at the Meandros Boutique & Spa Hotel was absolutely brilliant. The rooms were spacious with a brilliant shower, supposedly fresh sheets, and towels. It's a stunning and peaceful idea for couples, always sunbeds available, and I had a much better room that was very clean & comfortable. The service was top-notch with hard-working and lovely staff, delicious ice cream at the pool bar, and nice coffee in the rooms. The location was very well maintained and clean, with the beach just a 5-minute walk away and Kalamaki a short stroll in the opposite direction. However, I did miss having more sun loungers with parasols away from the pool itself, and the food options could have been better. Overall, a fantastic stay with some minor areas for improvement.

The hotel had some positives like spotless and good-sized rooms, but there were issues with the dated twin room and a lingering smell of sewage. The service was mixed with some excellent staff but lacking friendly interactions. The location was convenient to the beach and town but had noise from the airport. The dining was average with limited options and occasional cold dishes.
